As a buyer preparing to make an offer on a villa or apartment in
Marbella, there are some general rules:
You should discuss your proposal with your Marbella real estate
agent who will advise you, and then make your offer formally in
writing. Your offer should include the price you propose to pay
and the terms and conditions of the purchase. For example, if
the seller verbally agrees to special terms of payment, that should
be recorded in the written offer.
Email your written offer to us and we will make it to the seller.
On their acceptance we will call you immediately, and ask you
for details of your lawyer.
If you have not yet chosen a Marbella lawyer we will be able to
recommend certain firms to you. You may prefer one of the Marbella
firms with offices in England.
Once your offer is accepted you will be asked to pay a holding
deposit. This ensures that the seller removes the property from
the market place, and it is considered “sold subject to
contract” by all the Marbella Estate agents involved.
Completion usually takes place about one month after purchase of your property in Marbella.
We will take you through the process step by step, going with
you to the public notary office to sign the title deeds and complete
the paperwork on your Marbella property purchase.
